Miltonia white purple spots April 2017

Year after year in autumn, the Miltonias are blooming. Four pots of mauve purple one and two of the white with purple spots. Six pots are all in bloom!

These orchids are the easiest to look after and they seem to have resistance to many problems like root rot and leaf spots. They have no problems with Melbourne summer heat that can be harsh. The mauve purple seems to multiply quicker and better than the other one. Though the flowers are not as long lasting as some other orchids, but Miltonia is surely worth having, especially when they flower in time where most other orchids are not in bloom.
